Custom Bakery Boxes
Your packaging is often the first thing a customer touches before they taste anything. For bakeries, patisseries, and food businesses across Australia, that moment matters. Our personalised bakery boxes are designed to keep your baked goods fresh, protect them during safe transport, and present them beautifully at the point of sale – carrying your brand in a way that feels intentional, not like an afterthought.
We’ve been manufacturing bakery packaging boxes for Australian businesses since 2017, working with everyone from home bakers to national food brands. Whether you need a single box style or a coordinated range across multiple bakery items, we can help you get there.

Choosing the Right Box for Your Bakery
Not every bakery product needs the same packaging, and choosing the wrong structure can mean damaged goods, poor presentation, or unnecessary cost. Here’s a quick way to think about it.
If your product is heavy, high-end, or needs to make a strong first impression – think tiered cakes, premium gift boxes, or wedding orders – a rigid box construction gives you the durability and perceived value to match. If you’re producing at volume for retail or wholesale, folding carton is more cost-effective, ships flat, and is faster to produce without sacrificing print quality.
For products with moisture or grease content – pastries, donuts, fried items – material choice becomes a food safety and structural question, not just an aesthetic one. And for anything going into a retail display environment, the box needs to work as a sales tool, which changes how you think about window placement, print coverage, and shelf presence.
Getting these decisions right before you commit to a design saves time, money, and reprints. Our team can walk you through the options based on your specific product and sales channel.
Bakery Box Styles We Offer
We offer a wide range of customisation options across all bakery box styles – size, material, print, and finish. All styles are available with full customisation in size, material, print, and finish, including bakery boxes wholesale for high-volume orders.
Custom Cake Boxes
Built for cakes of all sizes, from single-serve slices to multi-tiered centrepieces. Available in rigid and folding carton constructions, with options for internal inserts to keep layers stable, window panels for visual reveal, and ribbon detailing for a premium finish. Rigid construction is recommended for heavier cakes or any product where presentation on arrival is critical.
Not ideal for: high-volume, low-margin products where cost-per-unit needs to be kept low – folding carton alternatives are more suitable in those cases.
Custom Cupcake Boxes & Dessert Boxes
Designed to hold individual portions or assorted selections securely without shifting in transit. Internal inserts are sized to your product dimensions, so there’s no movement between the kitchen and the customer. Available with window panels and full colour printing for brand visibility, and well suited to both retail display and direct-to-customer gifting.
These boxes work particularly well when the unboxing moment is part of the product experience – the window gives customers a preview before they even open the lid.
Cookie & Truffle Boxes
Compact and versatile, cookie boxes and truffle boxes are a popular choice for artisan bakers, confectioners, food retailers, and corporate gifting. Available in a range of sizes to suit single baked delights through to assorted gift packs, with matte or gloss finishes and optional window panels to showcase the product inside.
The print surface on a cookie box is one of the most effective branding opportunities in bakery packaging – a well-designed box at the point of sale or in a gifting context does a lot of the selling for you.
Pastry Boxes
Pastries are fragile and often greasy, which means the box needs to handle both without failing. Our pastry boxes are available with grease resistant linings, string closures for a classic bakery aesthetic, and in sizes that suit everything from individual croissants to large assorted selections for catering orders.
Structural integrity matters here – a box that buckles under a heavy Danish does more damage than no box at all.
Pie Boxes
Heavier than most bakery products, pies need a base with real load-bearing strength. Our pie boxes are built with this in mind – durable construction that holds its shape under weight, with secure closures that don’t pop open during delivery. Available in round and rectangular formats to suit different pie styles, with full custom print options.
Donut Boxes & Muffin Boxes
Both donuts and muffins benefit from dividers and inserts that keep individual items separated during transport. Our donut and muffin boxes are available with customisable internal configurations, grease resistant material options, and window panels that make them effective for retail display as well as takeaway.
Window Boxes
When your product looks good, the best thing you can do is let people see it. Our window boxes feature transparent panels in various configurations – full-front, partial, or top panel – giving customers a clear view of what’s inside before they buy. Particularly effective for decorated cakes, layered slices, and premium pastries where the visual is a core part of the appeal.
Bakery-Specific Considerations
Bakery packaging has a few requirements that general packaging doesn’t always account for. It’s worth thinking through these before finalising your brief.
Food safety and food safe materials. All food safe materials we use are food grade, suitable for direct and indirect contact with food products, and selected to help maintain freshness during transport and storage. If your product will be in direct contact with the interior of the box – rather than wrapped or in a liner – let us know and we’ll specify accordingly.
Grease resistance. Products with high fat content – pastries, donuts, fried goods – require materials that won’t break down or stain through with grease over time. We offer grease resistant material options across the range, which is both a structural and a presentation consideration.
Retail display vs delivery vs gifting. These three contexts have different packaging priorities. Retail display needs shelf presence – strong print, good structure, a face that sells. Delivery packaging prioritises protection and secure closure above everything else. Gifting packaging needs an unboxing experience – premium feel, clean opening, presentation on arrival. The same box style can be specified differently depending on which context you’re designing for.
Seasonal ordering. If your bakery has strong seasonal demand – Easter, Christmas, Valentine’s Day – lead times matter. Air freight runs approximately 3 – 4 weeks from production sign-off for a fast turnaround; sea freight is approximately 8 weeks. Planning your packaging orders ahead of peak periods avoids the cost and stress of expedited shipping.
Print & Finishing for Bakery Brands
Food packaging has one of the most competitive print environments of any category – supermarket shelves and patisserie display cases are both high-visual contexts where your box is competing for attention. Getting the finish right makes a real difference.
Matte laminate reads understated and premium – it’s a popular choice for high-end patisseries and artisan brands that want their packaging to feel considered rather than loud. Gloss gives colours more saturation and punch, which works well for bold, graphic designs and brands targeting a younger or more casual market.
Foil stamping adds a tactile, metallic detail that photographs well and elevates perceived value at the point of sale. It works particularly well on dark base stocks – black kraft with gold foil is a combination that performs consistently well in bakery and gifting contexts. Spot UV adds a raised, high-gloss coating to specific areas of the print, creating a contrast between matte and gloss surfaces that catches the eye without adding colour.
Embossing and debossing create a physical impression in the substrate – a logo or pattern that you can feel, not just see. For premium bakery products and gifting applications, this adds a layer of tactile quality that reinforces the value of what’s inside.
All boxes are printed using full colour printing to ensure accurate, vibrant colour reproduction across every run. If your file needs minor adjustments to be print-ready, our team will handle that at no extra charge as part of our free design support. Free dieline templates and a free 3D mockup before production are included as standard.
