Custom Beverage Boxes

Beverage packaging covers more product and container variety than almost any other category. Beer in glass bottles, wine in cardboard gift boxes, spirits in premium rigid cases, tea in retail cartons, cold brew coffee in cans, and juice in folding cartons – each has a different weight, a different fragility profile, a different retail environment, and a completely different set of brand expectations. There is no single beverage packaging format that works across the category; the right solution depends on what’s inside, how it’s being sold, and who it’s being sold to.

Our custom printed beverage boxes are manufactured to suit the specific container format, product weight, and market context of your beverage range, with beverage packaging solutions for retail, gifting, wholesale, and direct-to-consumer channels. We’ve been supplying beverage packaging to Australian beverage brands and food and drink businesses since 2017.

    Additional Info

    Beverage Categories We Package

We manufacture custom packaging across the full range of beverage categories. Each product type has its own dedicated page with detailed information on styles, configurations, and product-specific considerations.

    Beer Boxes

Custom packaging for craft and commercial breweries – retail carriers, mixed pack gift boxes, single bottle presentation boxes, and beer advent calendar formats. Available for both bottle and can configurations, with divider specifications suited to the container type. The craft beer market in Australia has specific visual expectations that we cover in detail on the beer boxes page.

    Wine Boxes

Custom packaging for wineries, wine retailers, and gifting – single bottle boxes, two and six-bottle gift sets, and wholesale case formats. Delicate wine bottles need packaging that protects against breakage while delivering premium presentation – a custom printed box with your logo and brand colours does both. Wine is one of the highest-value beverage gifting products in the Australian market, and the packaging for premium wine gifting warrants the construction and finish to match.

    Spirits Boxes

Custom packaging for distilleries and premium spirit brands – single bottle presentation boxes, gift set formats, and limited edition release packaging. Spirits packaging sits at the luxury end of the beverage gifting market, and the construction and finish expectations are correspondingly high.

    Tea Boxes

Custom packaging for tea brands and specialty retailers – retail carton formats, gift set boxes, and subscription packaging. Tea is one of the beverage categories with the strongest gifting trade, and the packaging ranges from everyday retail formats through to premium gift collections.

    Coffee Boxes

Custom packaging for roasters, cafes, and specialty coffee brands – retail bag boxes, gift set formats, and subscription packaging. The specialty coffee market in Australia has a strong visual culture with specific packaging aesthetics that differ significantly from mass-market coffee retail.

    Juice Boxes

Custom packaging for juice producers and health food brands – retail carton formats, gift set boxes, and wholesale supply. Juice packaging has specific food safety and material requirements given the liquid content and the typically refrigerated storage environment.

    Choosing the Right Beverage Packaging

A few decisions that apply across all beverage packaging categories and are worth thinking through before finalising a brief.

Container type determines structural requirements. A glass bottle is heavy and fragile – the packaging needs to support its weight and prevent it from contacting adjacent bottles or hard surfaces during transport. An aluminium can is lighter but susceptible to denting under lateral pressure. A carton or soft pack has no breakage risk but needs adequate structural support to maintain its shape during handling and display. The container type is the starting point for every other packaging decision.

Single unit vs multi-pack vs gift set. A single unit retail format, a multi-pack for volume retail, and a curated gift set are three fundamentally different packaging briefs. Single unit retail packaging needs to work in a display case or on a shelf – brand visibility and shelf legibility are the priorities. Multi-pack formats prioritise structural integrity and cost efficiency per unit. Gift set packaging prioritises presentation, the unboxing experience, and the perceived value of the contents. All formats are available in custom sizes tailored to your specific container dimensions, and each can be enhanced with custom printed finishes to match your brand.

Retail vs gifting vs wholesale. These three sales channels have different packaging requirements even for the same product. Retail packaging needs to meet display requirements and communicate clearly at the point of sale. Gifting packaging needs to present as a considered gift and justify its price point. Wholesale packaging needs structural robustness and efficient volume above presentation. If your product sells through all three channels, the packaging specification for each should be reviewed independently.

Cold and refrigerated environments affect material performance. Many beverages are stored and sold under refrigeration – beer, juice, cold brew coffee, and some wines all spend significant time in cold, humid conditions. Equally, beverages transported in summer conditions need heat resistant material properties to maintain structural integrity. Durable, moisture resistant materials protect the product and preserve freshness throughout the supply chain. For products that are refrigerated throughout, the material specification needs to account for cold and humid conditions from the point of packing through to the point of sale.

    Beverage-Specific Considerations

A few properties of beverage products as a category that affect packaging decisions across all types.

Liquid products have a leakage risk that dry products don’t. A box that fails during transport of a liquid product – whether a cracked bottle, a punctured carton, or a loose closure – can damage not just the product but everything around it. For glass bottle products in particular, the structural integrity of the packaging is a product safety consideration as well as a quality one. The packaging needs to hold the product securely through all handling conditions, not just the ideal ones.

Alcohol products have labelling compliance requirements. Beer, wine, and spirits sold in Australia are subject to mandatory labelling requirements including standard drink declarations, health warnings, producer information, and country of origin. Retail packaging for alcoholic beverages needs to accommodate all required information alongside the brand design. For packaging that varies between markets – domestic and export – the label requirements may differ and the print specification needs to be reviewed for each market.

Gifting is the highest-value sales channel in beverage. A bottle of wine or a premium spirit sold as a gift commands a significantly higher price point than the same product sold as a standard retail item. Premium quality construction combined with premium presentation – foil stamping, embossing, magnetic closures, custom inserts – creates packaging that provides both protection and a gift experience that justifies the price point. For beverage businesses with a gifting trade, the gift packaging investment has a direct and measurable impact on the achievable price point.

Christmas and Father’s Day are the two peak beverage gifting occasions. Beer, wine, and spirits gifting peaks sharply at Father’s Day in September and Christmas in December. The lead time for custom packaging – 3 to 4 weeks for air freight from production sign-off – means that packaging for Father’s Day needs to be ordered by July, and Christmas packaging by October. For businesses with strong seasonal gifting volume, planning packaging orders well ahead of these windows is part of managing the season effectively.
