    Whilst I love the ethos behind these packages, I (like another buyer) note some difficulty with the compostable zip. Vivo addressed this in another review, and I was aware when I purchased. I am undecided if I will continue with these pouches in the future or swap back to the regular biodegradable Kraft pouches.

    Great product for our granola! Occasionally the zip on the large bags doesn’t close properly. We have found that if you gently run your nail down the zip it opens the seal and makes it easier to close(with glove on if filling with food). Otherwise, I LOVE that it’s good for the environment, and feel happy that I’m doing what I can to reduce our carbon footprint!

    Since this is a 100% compostable bag, it’s normal for the zip to become more brittle after 10-12 months from production. This pouch is specifically designed for products with a shorter shelf life to align with its eco-friendly, compostable nature. We appreciate your understanding and are here to help if you have any further questions!

    The bag itself is great but the zip is almost impossible to close. Because it’s not made from plastic, it crushes under your fingers and can’t be sealed closed.
